My Spring Wishlist

Hi Darlings,

It has gotten to the point where I have accumulated a list of pieces I have been eyeing for the spring/summer season. You know I'm not one to gatekeep. That's why today I'll be sharing with you my spring wishlist. No fluff today, let's get right into it.

60s Mod Dresses

All over my 'Fit Inspo' Pinterest board for Spring/Summer 2024 has been 60s mod dresses. Simple, chic, and so very Jane Birkin. My favourite personal style creator Laini Ozark has the perfect little butter yellow one that I'm obsessed with. The same silhouette in creme, light blue, or even denim would be a holy grail find for me. Here's the inspo so we're on the same page:

Frilly Blouses

The Ganni gals have got me. I want everything remotely frilly. Frilly collar? Hand it over. God ugly tie on the neck? I need it. Eyelet lace hem? I'm there. What I love so much about this trend is although the iconic Ganni blouse itself would be lovely, there are so many vintage alternatives out there that could scratch the same itch.

Slab Blue Everything

In my recent hunt for dusty blue pieces, I found the holy grail at Aritzia. Their colour 'slab blue' is the perfect shade that I've been looking for. There are various pieces I love in the shade and will link them in the pictures below:

A Brown Leather Belt

I've recently invested in a good belt to tie my looks together and boy does it make a difference. Now that I've got a black one, I'd love a brown one to wear with brown purses and shoes. I also think brown leather is better for spring and to pair with lighter colours. I would want the buckle to be gold since post of my jewellery is also gold. Here are some of the contenders:

Gingham Dresses

I have always loved gingham. From when it was trending in the 2010s to now, it is still one of my favourite spring/summer patterns. My favourite way I've seen it lately is in simple sundresses. They should be easy enough to thrift, but if you want to buy new I suggest Apres Studios.

Black Capris

You know when you've been thinking about something long enough that you decide you should seriously consider investing? This is how I feel about capris right now. Particularly black capris that flare at the end. They seem like the perfect alternative to my denim shorts that get borderline too much use in the summer. They also seem comfy and would pair well with nearly everything. My only hesitation is that they may cut my leg too short if warn with sneakers. As someone who will be finishing her last semester of undergrad this summer, I don't know how often I'll actually be able to wear them with kitten heels or flats. But alas, they're still on my radar.

Large Scrunchies

I haven't been able to stop thinking about this particular image I found on Pinterest. For the life of me I cannot seem to find a large satin scrunchie that is cream and lined with a black border. I know its a pretty specific order, but as I always say don't settle when you're hunting for the right piece. I know that if I buy just a large cream satin one, I'll either not get enough use out of it or disregard it once I finally find the perfect one. If you by any chance know where a girl can find one, please do reach out. And before you ask yes I did find the one in the photo... and it's $75 ;(

This Linen Set

If my post on my current colour obsessions is already out by now you'll know that I have been eyeing this linen set from Massimo Dutti for a while. The colour is so wrong that it's right and linen sets are so in right now. I know I'd get good use out of it during the summer, plus, I'm headed to Greece in September. I'm sure I'd get some good use out of it there. It's currently on backorder but I have added myself to the waitlist

Painter Pants

Finally, I'm still dreaming of painter pants. Simple blue and white pinstripe pants with a loose fit. I've found a few that I like, but these ones from Kotn currently take the cake.
