Pilates Princess Wish List

Updated: Nov 12

Hello Darlings,

We are back in full force with the wish list posts. Last year was all about the colour-based aesthetics. Vanilla girl, strawberry girl, clean girl - you know the ones. This year I wanna get functional. I wanna get practical. Who are you? What do you enjoy? What would be a great gift for you based on that interest? Baring this new strategy in mind in seems all too obvious to cater to the pilates girlies.

If you are anything like me, you have come across at least one video on your fyp of the 'pilates princess'. The girl that gets up at 5am to go hit a reformer or mat pilates workout before clocking into her 9-5. Yes I'm looking at you Acquired Style. The pilates princess prioritizes her well being as well as her work and loves a little pick me up bevy in the morning. Whether you are already a pilates cult convert or looking to dip your toe in come the new year, here are all of my recommendations for the pilates princess.

Water Bottles and Tumblers

Whether it's pilates, yoga, kickboxing, or spin, a water bottle is a necessity for any workout class. For the pilates princess, it just makes sense for it to be pink :) Baby pink at that. A great versatile option could be something like this glass bow tumbler. Fill it with matcha, water, iced coffee - whatever your heart desires. Here are some options for yourself, or the pilates girl in your life:

Bala Bangles

Any true pilates princess has heard about Bala Bangles. Unlike most ugly ankle and wrist weights, Bala Bangles add both resistance and style to your workout. This is not an ad, I just think that any regular pilates attendee would be thrilled to be gifted a pair of these. They come in a bunch of beautiful pastels and are sure to get you compliments at your next session.

Headphone Cases and Covers

For those who really like to lock-in to their workouts, headphones are a must. Although it may not be feasible to get the pilates princess in your life new headphones, you could get her a case or cover for them. This brand Sonix has all kinds of designs. I personally have their tortoiseshell case and will be asking for the matching AirPods case for Christmas. These are the few I picked with the pilates girl in mind:

Gym Bag

Now a girl on the run is going to need a bag to put all of these lovely new goodies in. Here are some of my fave bags that exude clean, simple, put-together energy.

Grip Socks

Another equipment essential is a pair of grip socks. Although you may be using a pair from Amazon atm, a cute pair from your fave athletic brand can be a fun little luxury. Here are Bala and Alo's offerings. Each come in a larger variety of sizes. Just click the images to be redirected to the website.

Skincare

First and foremost, the pilates princess cares about wellness and doing something for herself. That is why skincare (especially skincare that comes in pretty packaging) can be a great gift for the pilates girl that already has her equipment game down. From overnight moisture masks, to cleansing balms for a post-workout wash, there's something here she's sure to love.

If you are looking more for a skincare kit, Versed has a lot of affordable options here:

Touch Up Bag

For the girl on the go, a cosmetic bag can be a great gift. You could every buy some skincare and put it right in the bag to make a bundle of your own! I really like these cloth ones since they expand so much. Those of you who read my travel girl essentials know that I have one of my own and it has been a godsend for travelling back and forth from school to my parents house. Whether you use it for makeup, skincare, hair care, or a combo, a cute little pouch is always going to come in handy.

Hats and Hair Accessories

The pilates girl may be a princess, but that doesn't make her perfect. A workout a is bound to mess up hair hair, so hair accessories are a must. Headbands, scrunchies, or full-on hats - I've got you covered. Oh btw I picked silk scrunchies specifically because I find they are one of the best ways to put your hair up without kinking it. I bought the one that I have at a vintage market, but I have tagged some here that are similar.

Foam Rollers

For the at-home pilates girlies a foam roller is a great option. This way, she can try out some reformer-type exercises without committing to the reformer price tag.

That concludes my pilates princess holiday wish list! I hope you enjoyed and got some needed inspo.

Let me know what you'd like to see next!
